The WHY

It all began with Christine. When she arrived to Amsterdam for a week city-break ot was mid August. However it felt so cold that even the locals hurried to retrieve their warm fleeces from the winter storage. She could not have foreseen that when she left Hong-Kong.

Not knowing anyone her size, nor wanting to buy clothes and leave these behind, Christine asked our founder Ting if there was anywhere she could rent some sweaters from. Because Ting had been renting her closet from the shop near her house for the past year, she took Christine there. Little did she know that non-residents such as Christine could not rent items themselves.

But as Ting became Christine’s grantor to the rental shop service, it struck her other travelers may find themselves in Christine’s situation. Enter Weer’s mission: to connect travelers to local rental shops, not just in Amsterdam, but all around the globe. So that, just like Christine, they can enjoy their destinations no matter what weather or occasion.
